Hypocricy takes a holiday (again)
Terri Sciavo is fucking dead. Too bad. My mom always told me that everyone serves a purpose. For the last few weeks, the hypocrisy of the Christian Right has been put on prominent display for the whole country to see.
Unfortunately, nobody cared. So, their ignorance and hatred will go back in the closet for a while, where it’ll be quietly ignored by the rest of America, while they grind our country into nothingness.
It has been my experience that most of these people were active believers in the “Sheet of Glass” theory after 9/11 - nuke the fuck out of the Middle East until every last ‘fucking towelhead’ is dead. They are largely the driving force behind hatred towards Muslims, they are usually the driving force behind the hatred for other races / social classes / sexual orientations / whatever. These people are the epitome of hate. If you want to find hate, you need look no further.
Suddenly, one man wants his brain-dead, comatose-for-a-decade wife to be unhooked from the technology that’s keeping her
alive, and they’re fucking up in arms, calling it murder.
These people are all fucking wrong on a fundamental level. So wrong that it’s probably not possible to wire their brains in a manner that could ever make them right. Now that’s the true meaning of ‘depressing.’
