I happened to run onto this link to Scientific American today: 15 Answers to Creationist Nonsense. It’s a really good read, and addresses a lot of the main issues between this creationism/rational science debate.

Now for the rant part.

The only people who think there is a ‘debate’ between creationism, with its basis in faith, and rational science, with its basis in standardized tests and logical deduction, are fucking moronic idiots who didn’t pay attention in school.

I bought a few new toys today: B5 Season 5 and Matrix Revolutions. That ends those two collections. Now I need something new to collect. Probably Angel (new episodes start tomorrow! yay!)

I’m sitting here watching Family Guy - 1×03, “Chitty Chitty Death Bang,” when all of a sudden it hits me just how unbelievably good this show is. I’m scared about it returning to TV, even with the same writers it almost seems wrong for it to continue. If it was allowed to run on, it would just drag itself down until it ended up like The Simpsons. (Add this to the list of reasons why it’s good Futurama died when it did.)

Also, this show has the best one-liners ever.
“Okay, folks, for my next miracle, I’m going to turn water… into FUNK!”
“IT’S A BOY!” BRZAPPPP

I’m actually caught up, UI is coming togethr, and I might actually be able to go back next fall.

Does this mean disaster awaits around the next corner? You’ll have to watch next week to find out!!

Not very long ago, I was in Moscow studying. I didn’t have a great idea about what was going to happen to me, but I didn’t really care very much either. I was there, I was doing interesting work and having a good time. Now, all I can do is think about how fucking screwed I am. Kids, if you ever find yourself in this position, please take a lesson from me and don’t be so goddamn stupid.

Twenty-eight years ago today, I was brought into this world - most likely, holding a laptop writing a rant about what an asshole that doctor guy was.

I keep thinking about going back to Moscow this fall, but I honestly don’t know what to do with myself anymore. Maybe I’ll just give up on the whole college thing altogether, it was a silly idea anyway.
