Attack of the New Shit!

So I installed Panther this weekend, and as with all things, lately, it’s all fucked up and is making my life hell. God dammit.

Every single release of OS X since 10.2.3 has had a problem substantial enough to at least be extremely annoying, and in some cases desperately critical.

10.2.4: Major USB problems, disabled internal modems.
10.2.5: Killed laptop batteries dead.
10.2.6: Developed a really annoying problem with sound.
10.2.8: The sound problem got better and worse. (Didn’t show up as readily but when it did you had to restart right off, instead of waiting a day or so)
10.3: WEP keys in preferred locations are COMPLETELY BROKEN.

I’ll grant you, this isn’t as serious as, say, the update that killed laptop batteries, but it’s pretty goddamn annoying. It’s seriously like Apple doesn’t even test their own products. If it wasn’t for bullshit like this, I would really enjoy being an OS X user.
